8TH PRIMaRE CONFERENCE 2021

Invitation to the 8th PRIMaRE conference.

The 8th PRIMaRE conference represents the latest in the annual scientific conference series of the marine renewable energy community. The conference will be held online by Bangor University, School of Ocean Sciences, between the 29th and 30th June 2021.

The conference includes universities, industry and research centres active in all aspects of marine renewable energy and is expected to attract over 100 participants ranging from industrial developers, university researchers, marine environmentalists and policy makers. The aim of the event is to cover a wide range of topics in marine renewable energy, including: technology, policy, environment, hydrodynamics, resource characterisation, materials, operation and management, etc.

The 8th PRIMaRE conference will provide a platform for both industrial and university speakers to present their up to date activities and on-going research programmes through posters. Online facilities for exhibitors and posters will be available to allow the community to interact, learn and network.

In order to present your research, please log in and submit a max. 500 word abstract, by Friday 30th April, 2021.

Abstracts will be accepted as oral or poster presentations. The abstract should summarise the context of the presentation or poster, and include aims & objectives, a description of the methodology and summary of the findings.

IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE

Due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, the 7th PRIMaRE conference will be held online, with no charge for attendance. The call for abstracts is open and has been extended until Friday 1st May 2020. Further information including the format of this virtual conference will be sent to registered delegates and announced on the PRIMaRE website closer to the event.

Due to the current situation with the COVID-19 virus, the conference will be held online, between the 7th and 8th July 2020, and will be run by University of Plymouth and Plymouth Marine Laboratory.

The conference includes universities, industry and research centres active in all aspects of marine renewable energy and is expected to attract over 100 participants ranging from industrial developers, university researchers, marine environmentalists and policy makers. The aim of the event is to cover a wide range of topics in marine renewable energy, including: technology, policy, environment, hydrodynamics, resource characterisation, materials, operation and management, etc.

In order to present your research, please submit max. one page abstract in PDF format to the conference web portal Here using the abstract template, by the extended deadline of Friday 1st May, 2020.

The abstract should summarise the context of the presentation or poster, and include aims & objectives, a description of the methodology and summary of the findings.

Invitation to the 6th PRIMaRE conference.

The 6th PRIMaRE conference represents the latest in the annual scientific conference series of the marine renewable energy community. The conference will be held in the Welsh capital city, Cardiff, between the 3rd and 4th July 2019.

The conference includes universities, industry and research centres active in all aspects of marine renewable energy and is expected to attract over 100 participants ranging from industrial developers, university researchers, marine environmentalists and policy makers. The aim of the event is to cover a wide range of topics in marine renewable energy, including: technology, policy, environment, hydrodynamics, resource characterisation, materials, operation and management, etc.
